The average price of new apartments in Serbia last year was 178,742 dinars, which 7.6% higher than in 2020, the National Statistics Office has said.
The cheapest were apartments in the town of Bujanovac (Southern Serbia), where a square metre of a new apartment was around 50,032 dinars, while the most expensive ones were sold in the Belgrade municipality of Savski Venac, where a square metre reached the price of 374,921 dinars.
The largest increase in the price of the square metre compared to 2020 was recorded in Belgrade (10.1%), where the average price of apartments was 255,385 dinars per metre.
In addition to Belgrade municipalities, the towns of Čajetina, Novi Sad, Vrnjačka Banja, Niš, Zrenjanin, Kragujevac, Pančevo and Užice also stood out because of their high prices.
The average size of newly built apartments in Serbia was 56 sqm.
