While hospitalized, Vucic thanked the doctors and nurses of the Military Medical Academy for their service on his Instagram profile and announced that he would be back to work on Monday.

“Thanks to the doctors and staff of the VMA. Thank you to everyone who took care of me. I will be in office full time from Monday,” wrote Vucic.

This is the first time that the President of Serbia has been officially admitted to hospital for cardiovascular problems. In April of this year, for health reasons, he cancelled his participation in a conference on the occasion of the anniversary of the NATO bombing of the Radio and Television of Serbia’s building.

According to the latest media reports, the Serbian President has been released from the hospital this morning.
