The CEO of the famous fashion design brand Prada, Patrizio Bertelli, has visited the Progetti factory in Vrsac on Thursday, March 30, the Juzni Banat portal reports.
This is his first visit to Serbia, during which he met with the owner of Progetti, Romano Rossi, to discuss the plans for the company’s future activities in Serbia.
Prada already produces shoes in Serbia (around 75,000 pairs a year) in the Progetti factories in Vrsac from which the shoes bearing the merchandise mark “Made in Serbia” are distributed worldwide.
– We discussed a potential increase in production with Bertelli, which would require creation of new jobs and training programs – says Romano Rossi, owner of Progetti.
Progetti currently employs over 1,000 people in its factories in Sombor, Vrsac and Vladimirci. The plans to build new facilities in Sombor with another world-famous international brand have been announced and should be implemented soon, the Juzni Banat web portal reports.
