Peter Doherty concert tonight at Zappa Baza

Tonight (4 May) marks the debut performance of the world-renowned bohemian and poet Peter Doherty at Zappa Baza.

Peter Doherty rose to wider prominence in the early 2000s as the co-founder and frontman of The Libertines, a band that shook the British rock scene with its raw energy and strong poetic sensibility. Following their global success, he formed Babyshambles and cemented his status as one of the most intriguing songwriters of his generation. His artistic expression lies at the intersection of punk heritage, romantic poetry, and urban everyday life – something few cities beyond London can truly offer. His songs often feel like a personal diary, which allows audiences to easily enter his world and remain immersed in it.

On stage, Doherty balances delicate ballads, spontaneous improvisation, and raw rock energy, all of which are reflected in his voice. The concert at Zappa Baza will provide an opportunity to experience the full range of his artistry in an intimate club setting – from quiet, reflective moments to choruses that the Belgrade audience will sing along to.

He will be joined on stage by Anton Makarov, a multi-instrumentalist and frontman of the Russian band Dictaphone.

Tickets are priced at 4,900 dinars and can be purchased via the Hangtime website or at the club entrance.
