The Serbian Ministry of Health’s Task Force for the control of the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19) has ordered increased control and special monitoring of the people travelling from Italy to Serbia, B92 reports.
Additional control has been ordered at all border crossings with the view of taking appropriate measures to deal with the new situation with the epidemic in Italy.
A statement on the website of the Ministry of Health says that the Task Force had an urgent meeting to define the criteria for the treatment of passengers who are/were in infected or epidemiologically risky areas, which implies increased control of passengers at border crossing points.

In addition to people travelling from China (i.e. the areas affected by the coronavirus epidemic) to Serbia, as of today, the Serbian authorities will apply the same control measures to anyone travelling from Italy to Serbia.
In addition, a health warning will be distributed to passengers containing updated information about infected or epidemiologically risky areas.
There have also been meetings with the Serbian armed forces and other competent national authorities, as well as with the World Health Organization (WHO) representatives in order to take all necessary measures to prevent the spread of the virus on the territory of Serbia.
