Yesterday, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced extraordinary parliamentary elections in Serbia for April 3, and approved the decree on the dissolution of the Parliament, which enters into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
Earlier, the speaker of the National Assembly, Ivica Dačić, signed the decree on the elections MPs in cities and municipalities, also for April 3, in the municipalities of Bor, Belgrade, Arandjelovac, Smederevska Palanka, Lucani, Medvedja, Bajina Basta, Doljevac, Kula, Kladovo, Majdanpek and Secanj.
“Political campaigning and electoral activities will begin after this decree comes into force,” Dacic said. In early March, 90 days before the expiration of the term of the President of the Republic, presidential elections will also be called for April 3.
