Over 120 concerts at 17th Beer Fest

Belgrade Beer Fest, the most visited music event in Southeast Europe, will take place from August 14th to 18th, with more than 120 free concerts in Ušće in just five days.

The Beer Fest’s concerts will be held on four stages – Main Stage, Alternative Stage, Groove Stage and Bunt Stage.

Some of the biggest music stars from the region and the world will perform at the Main Stage. A music spectacle called “Rock Opera” will officially open the Festival this year. The Cure’s guitarist, Johnny Marr will perform at 22:30 on the first festival day, as will the Serbian bands Artan Lili, Majke and Kanda, Kodža & Nebojša.

The second day of the Festival will be opened the legendary rock band, Atomsko Sklonište and the performances from Marko Louis, Kerber and Eyesburn. On the same day, American rappers Crazy Town X will perform on the Main Stage at 21:30. This is their first performance at Beer Fest.

On Friday, August 16th, the audiences will be able to listen to a number of Serbian bands such as Sharks, Snakes and Planes, Bjesovi, Električni Orgazam and one of the most popular bands from the 1990s, Negative. The popular hip-hopper from the Croatian town of Split, Vojko V, will also perform on that night, as will one of the most wanted bands in the region, Brkovi, who play a combination of folk music and heavy metal.

Young Johnny Ranković will be in charge of good music on the third festival day, followed by the veteran musicians Bilja Krstić and YU Grupa. Magnifico will also get the crowds going with their unique blend of funk, disco, rock, jazz and ethnic sounds, while Damir Urban will perform hits from his three-decades-long career.

The last night of the festival will feature the popular Montenegrin band Perper, as well as Dejan Cukić, Bombaj Štampa and Blaža i Kljunovi. The popular 1990s band Tap 011 and Elemental from Zagreb will perform too, plus there will be a performance by a UK band, Zion Train which has been mixing reggae and dance music for 30 years now.
