Opening hours of shops, malls and post offices during holidays

During the upcoming holidays, from January 1 to 3, and on Christmas Day, January 7, some post offices will be open, the Post of Serbia announced today. When it comes to stores, non-working days for most stores will be January 1 and 7, while on December 31 and January 6, shops will close earlier than usual.  

Throughout the holidays, the Main Post Office in 2, Takovska Street in Belgrade and the post office at Nikola Tesla Airport will work as usual, as will post offices at almost all border and administrative crossings.

On Sunday, January 2, post offices in shopping malls in Belgrade and Kragujevac, post offices in Univerexport facilities in Novi Sad and post offices in tourist centres – on Kopaonik and Zlatibor will be open too.

On Monday, January 3, a total of 54 post offices will be open throughout Serbia.

On Friday, December 31, and Thursday, January 6, post offices will work shorter hours, i.e. they will close at 5 pm, while 27 post offices, as listed on the official website of the Post of Serbia, will work until 6 pm.

Opening hours of Maxi, Mega Maxi, Tempo and Shop&Go shops

On Friday, December 31, all Maxi, Mega Maxi, Tempo and Shop&Go stores will close earlier than usual, at 6 pm. They will be closed on Saturday, January 1, while on Sunday, January 2, they will be open as usual.

On Christmas Eve, January 6, stores will be open until 6 pm, while on Christmas Day, January 7, they will be closed.

Idea, Roda, Mercator

Most Idea, Roda and Mercator stores will be open until 6 pm on December 31 and January 6, while on January 1 and 7, all of the shops will be closed (including Idea webshop). From January 2 to 6, Idea, Roda and Mercator shops will work as usual.  

Five Idea stores will have their doors open during regular business hours on December 31 and January 1 – two in Belgrade (Cara Dušana and Kralja Milana street), one on Kopaonik (Sunny Peaks) and two on Zlatibor (Jovanke Jeftanović and Miladina Caveman). On Christmas Day, January 7, the mentioned stores on Zlatibor and Kopaonik will be open.

Lidl

The Lidl supermarkets will be closed on January 1st and 7th, while on New Year’s Eve and Christmas Day – December 31st and January 6th respectively – they will close at 6 pm.

According to the website of this department store, Lidl stores will be open during regular business hours on January 2 and 3.

Shopping centres

Shopping malls also have adjusted working hours during the upcoming holidays – they will close at 6pm on New Year’s Eve, December 31, and a day before Christmas, January 6.

They will be closed on January 7.

Cinemas in shopping centres will be open on January 1 and 7, 2022.
