The Serbian National Theatre will stage two open-air performances of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana in Novi Sad and Belgrade next week.
A press release said that the free spectacle will include more than 400 performers (two symphonic orchestras, two choirs and a children’s choir) on the plateau in front of the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad on Wednesday, on May 25th and on Belgrade’s Trg Republike on May 28.
Aleksandar Kojic will conduct the musicians and soprano Marija Jelic, tenor Aleksandar Tolimir and baritone Vasa Stajkic.
The performances will also be supported Defense Ministry’s Stanislav Binicki symphonic orchestra.
Carmina Burana is being performed as part of the CEBEF Classical Sessions programme.
