According to the plan for the establishment of the new regional market, the so-called green corridors should be open at the borders of the countries of the Balkan region next year.
Initially, they will allow perishable goods such as fruits, vegetables, meat and processed products to cross the border more quickly, as well as their customs clearance at any time of day or night seven days a week.
Serbia, Montenegro, Albania and North Macedonia should conclude an agreement at which border crossings the procedures will be significantly reduced, as well as regulate a system that, from 2021 to 2022, will allow citizens of all these countries to travel only with an identity card.

A system that will allow the mutual recognition of diplomas of nurses, doctors, dentists, pharmacists, architects and veterinarians, and then all professions should be established as of 2022.
Between 2022 and 2024, a regulatory framework for the single payment system will be adopted and in 2023, some kind of cooperation between public procurement bodies should be established. Also, the regional countries are planning to have a system in place to ensure that various certificates, including veterinary ones, should be recognized in all countries and their respective borders.
