One of the most popular Roma orchestras to perform in Belgrade

The most popular Roma orchestra in the world, Taraf De Haidouks is going to have a long-awaited performance in Belgrade’s Kombank Hall on Saturday, 13th October.

Although they became famous in Hollywood, appearing in the blockbuster “Brothers Grimm” with Matt Damon and Heath Ledger, and although Johnny Depp has called them his favourite band after they appeared with him in the film “The Man Who Cried”, Taraf De Haidouks still remember their last Belgrade concert in 2003 with fondness. And they even have special ties with Serbia through friendship with the Roma singer Saban Bajramovic.

“How can we forget Belgrade? Although we are not frequent guests in your city, we can say that Belgrade is our second home. We come from Romania, and you know that there are many similarities between our two peoples. The great Saban Bajramovic was such a big inspiration for all Roma musicians around the world, including us. His songs had a really big impact. Saban was really incredible”, the band members reminisce.

This will be the first concert of this incredibly popular Roma band in the capital of Serbia after 2003, and also for the first time, they are presenting their new musical project called Taraf de Caliu.

Tickets for the concert can be purchased at the Kombank Hall and all the sales outlets of Eventim. The tickets retail at 1,500, 2,000 and 2,500 dinars.
