Old Sava Bridge to be removed

The Serbian government will borrow almost 80 million euros for the removal of the old Sava Bridge in Belgrade and the construction of a new steel arch bridge over the Sava, as stipulated in the draft Law on the Loan Agreement, which will be discussed by the members of the Serbian Parliament.

The Government concluded a loan agreement with the French banking group BNP Paribas on November 30th last year, and the loan was secured by the Chinese Import Export Financial Corporation, writes N1.

The interest rate at which Serbia borrows is Euribor, plus 1.05 per cent.

The total project value is EUR 94 million, which is the amount that will be paid to the contractor – PowerChina International Group Limited from Beijing.
