The Novi Sad Jazz Festival will take place November 15 to 18, during which eight concerts will be held on the centre stage of the Youth Theatre (Pozorište Mladih), the Novi Sad Cultural Centre announced today.
The festival opens on November 15 (8 p.m.) with the saxophonist Kenny Garrett’s quintet, followed by (at 10 p.m.) the Cuban pianist and composer Alfredo Rodríguez who will perform with his trio.
On November 16 (at 8 p.m.), the Ž Quartet, led by Croatian guitarist Ratko Zjača and Italian accordionist Simone Zacchini, will perform, while at 10 p.m. the Drambouti quintet with the Serbian drummer Predrag Peđa Milutinović will take the stage.
As announced, on November 17 (8 p.m.) the sextet of the Russian jazz trumpeter Alex Sipiagin and the Serbian drummer Vladimir Kostandinović will perform, and the evening will close with the trio, led by the Hungarian drummer Ferenc Nemet.
On the last day, November 18, the Novi Sad Big Band will perform under the direction of Fedor Vrtačnik, accompanied by singer Bojana Stamenov, while the renowned pianist, Matija Dedić, will perform at the festival’s closing.
