Nova Varos: Turkish companies invest in production

After the investment by the Turkish company Mercer Trade, which will produce laminate floors in Nova Varos, another investor from Turkey is coming to this town.

The investor will use the premises of the former Inova Company to launch a production of cooper and zinc-plated heating pipes.

The president of the Municipality of Nova Varos, Radosav Vasiljevic says that the new investor is a very renowned company from Turkey that will occupy 5,000 square metres of production premises and employ around 100 people.

“Inova’s premises have been rented out for the most part. Mercer Trade occupies 12,000 square metres, and it plans to employ 140 workers by the year end. Parallel with this production hall, there is another facility that spans 10,000 square metres. Half of this hall is already rented by a company from Novi Varos that is going to produce cream and have 50 employees, while, a month ago, we had another investor deciding to rent the premises here in about a month. This investor plans to employ 100 workers from Nova Varos”, Vasiljevic adds.

He goes on to say that the new Turkish investor is probably going to become the strongest company in the municipality of Nova Varos, and all the products manufactured here will be exported to the EU countries.
