The New Year’s Eve 2023 celebration in Novi Sad will take place on December 31 on the outskirts of the Petrovaradin fortress.
The British trio Kosheen, Stereo MCs, Perpetuum Jazzile, Repetitor, Obojeni Program, Monohrom and several other musicians and bands will perform free of charge.
Other performers include one of today’s greatest jazz pianists Tigan Hamasyan, a Dutch musical diva of Iranian origin Sevdaliza, Konstrakta from Serbia and one of the most recognized European violinists, Lajko Felix.
In addition to the performing arts, “Doček” (as this year’s New Year’s Eve celebration is named) will also feature the exhibition called “Mileva”, created by multimedia artist Dušan Jovović. The exhibition is staged in honour of the mathematician Mileva Marić Einstein, while the installation “Tesla’s Light Gallery” will be staged also on the Fortress’ outskirts with independent artists from Japan, the Czech Republic and Serbia showcasing their work.
This marks the last event under the auspices of the Novi Sad European Capital of Culture 2022 programme.
