The exhibition of photographs titled ‘Novi talas u Beogradu: Paket aranžman (1981-2021)’ (‘New Wave in Belgrade’), by Zorica Kojić and Dragan Ambrozić (exhibition project: Dobrila Stevanić), organised by the Beogradska Tvrđava Association, opens on Thursday, 22 April at 6 p.m. with a special musical guest, the young garage band Šajzerbiterlemon.
For the first time, the exhibition presents in one place the anthological photographs of four eminent Serbian photographers – Goranka Matić, Goran Vejvoda, Brian Branislav Rašić and Branko Gavrić – who during 1980 and 1981 followed the development of the New Wave music scene in Belgrade.
Their photographs paint a picture of the atmosphere that reigned before and after the recording of the iconic Paket Aranžman album, without excessive nostalgia, reminiscing about the free spirit of Belgrade at that time and its main musical protagonists, brave twenty-somethings full of ideas for the future.
The exhibition will be open in April and May in Kalemegdan, in the square in front of the Cvijeta Zuzorić Art Pavilion.
