The Serbian Business Register Agency (APR) has issued 262 new licences to travel agencies that have harmonised their operations with the new tourism register, while it has removed 215 from the same register. These agencies have lost their tour operator status and cannot continue to operate until they have obtained a new licence.
Applications for licences have been submitted by 140 travel agencies. The new licences, classified according to the category prescribed by the new law, will be valid for three years from the date of issue.

As of 3rd February 2020, the Business Register Agency has issued 262 licences to travel agencies and tour operators, which in the last month aligned their operations with the new Law on Tourism and the regulation on the conditions and method of classification of tour operators’ licences into different categories, changes in the licence category, the content of the licence application and renewal requirements, as well as the conditions and method of issuing the official licence form, which entered into force on 1st January 2020.
