New measures in force in Serbia as of 1st June

The anti-corona measures in Serbia are even more relaxed as of today, 1st June,

As the number of new cases on a daily basis has started to decrease, as of today, a maximum of 1,000 people will be allowed to gather outdoors.

This decision also means that spectators are now allowed to attend sports events, but have to respect social distancing measures and keep a distance of at least one metre.

As far as indoor spaces are concerned, a maximum of 100 people is allowed.

Epidemiologist Darija Kisić Tepavčević stated that, at the last meeting of the government Crisis Unit, it was unanimously decided to relax the measures in accordance with the current epidemiological situation.

In addition, from 1 June, it will be possible to organize student excursions. This was announced on Thursday by the Minister of Education, Mladen Šarčević.

As the Minister said, the excursions will be carried out exclusively in Serbia, so if high school graduates had planned trips abroad, they would have to now switch to staying at a tourist destination in Serbia.

Online school ended on May 29th, and from now on, students will go to school if there will be lessons specially organized for them, prepare for exams or improve their grades.

In addition, the Ministry has decided that prom parties for pupils graduating from elementary schools can take place only on schools grounds, in places of culture or in sports facilities, in agreement with the local administrations.

From June 1, people will be able to take the test to find out if they have developed coronavirus antibodies. The test costs 1,200 dinars.
