The construction of the new gynaecological and obstetrical clinic Narodni Front in Bežanijska Kosa could begin by the end of next year which is when the Belgrade Assembly should adopt a detailed master plan, said Marko Blagojevic, director of the Office for Public Investments.
It is expected that the new maternity hospital will be built near the KBC Bežanijska Kosa on what currently is just a deserted field.

“Ideally, the construction will have begun by the year-end and the facility should be finished in the next 14-15 months if there are no setbacks. The master plan and location conditions have to be established first, followed by the selection of a planner and the project done,” explains Marko Blagojevic.
He adds that the Belgrade Assembly should adopt a detailed master plan by the year-end.
2-3 years for the complete construction
According to the director of the Office for Public Investments, the construction of the new hospital should be completed by 2023.
“It will take two to three years to build the new building, which will be state-owned. At the moment we do not know what it will look like, how many floors it will have, its surface and how long it will take to complete the work depends on many factors,” Blagojevic concludes.
