At yesterday’s session, the Serbian government has decided that, due to the current situation, the period of self-isolation for health workers, prison guards and the police will be 14 days instead of 28.
“It is important to stress that this decision does not affect the health of the members of these professions, but that the preventive extension of personal isolation will not apply to these job categories. They will continue their work with all health protection equipment at their disposal and their health status will be constantly monitored,” the Serbian government said in a note.
Furthermore, the government has decided to close all facilities and activities involving close physical contact, such as hair and beauty salons, fitness clubs and gyms, as well as betting shops, casinos and facilities with slot machines, which from, now on, will only be able to carry out their activities online.

It has also been decided that the flags of all public institutions will have to be at half-mast from now on, in memory of the Serbian citizens who died from the coronavirus.
“The Serbian government will continue to monitor the development of the coronavirus situation with the utmost attention and will implement all necessary measures, based solely on professional advice,” the note added.
Once again, citizens were urged to adhere to all measures without exception, in order to overcome the pandemic as soon as possible.
