Museum of Modern Art to open on 20th October

The Culture and Information Minister, Vladan Vukosavljevic announces that the Serbian government and the ministry would complete the reconstruction of the Belgrade Museum of Modern Art on time, and that the museum will open its doors on 20th October.

“The renovation of the Museum of Modern Art is nearing its completing, and once the construction work is done, we are going to start placing exhibits. Our plan is to open it to visitors on 20th October, on its 52nd anniversary”, the Culture Minister adds.

He also says that he is especially proud of the fact that the government and the Ministry of Culture were able to finish something that no other previous government has managed to do.

Announcing further activities of the Ministry of Culture, Vukosavljevic says that the public debate about the Strategy for Cultural Development in the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2017 to 2027 will take place on 1st September at Matica Srpska in Novi Sad, as well as in Uzice, Kosovska Mitrovica, Subotica, Kragujevac, Nis and Belgrade.

The minister also expects that the debate will generate good ideas and opinions about which format of the Strategy would be the optimal for Serbia.
