Due to an increased demand from the audiences to see the latest Banovic Strahinja film, directed by Stefan Arsenijevic, which will premiere at FEST, on February 25, Kombank Dvorana has put up additional 300 tickets for sale.
After the screening, the audience will be joined by the team of international actors and actresses who starred in the film – Ibrahim Koma and Nancy Mensah-Offei, who have the main roles, as well as Nebojsa Dugalic, Slavisa Curovic, Strahinja Blazic, Ivana Scepanovic and Jelena Mihajlovic who are cast in supporting roles.
The film is produced by the French producer Alice Ormieres and the Bulgarian producer, Boris Chouchkov.
The film had its world premiere at the 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, where it won five awards, including the best film award.
The plot is set during the refugee crisis in Europe, and the main protagonists are the young African migrant Strahinja, who has taken a Serbian name to fit in better in his new environment, and his wife Ababuo. The two live in a refugee camp in Krnjača, when a new wave of refugees from Syria arrives, including the charismatic Ali.
