According to Danas daily, Marija Obradovic will be the next government minister to be ousted from the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).
The Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government is said to be a new victim of the ongoing intra-party conflict within the SNS party.
After the SNS branches throughout Serbia and the party top officials had already decided on the dismissal of Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic, Danas reveals that the next to be dismissed will be Marija Obradovic, criticised for her role in the Gakovo affair, a pig farm whose owner is alleged to have collaborated with Veljko Belivuk’s criminal clan.
She is probably going to be replaced by Marina Ragus, a member of the SPAS and a former member of the Serbian Radical Party.
Obradovic has been an MP four times thanks to being on various electoral lists centred around the SNS (in 2012, 2014, 2016, 2020). In 2016, she had also been elected as Vice-President of the same party.
