Deputy PM and Minister of Culture and Information, Maja Gojković, has said today that she will propose to the Serbian authorities to allow a bigger audiences in cinemas and theatres.
“Cultural content has been moved to the evening hours. I will submit my proposal tomorrow, at the new session of the Crisis Task Force, to allow bigger audiences in theatres and cinemas, as a large number of cultural workers are being vaccinated, including stage artists,” Gojković said during an online conference.
She also said that people’s lives are more important and believes that the vaccination of people working in the culture segment as a priority is the biggest success of the Ministry of Culture and Information since she has been at the helm of it.
Gojković went on to say that culture around the world is very much at risk and that it is important for the Ministry of Culture and Information to have its representatives in the government’s Crisis Task Force.
The Culture Minister added that, in cooperation with the relevant trade unions, she managed to correct the collective job agreements and securing full salaries for people working at institutions of culture regardless of the consequences of the pandemic and their illness.
