The mayor of Novi Sad and deputy chairman of the Serbian Progressive Party, Miloš Vučević, said he expected the formation of the new government ‘at the end of September or the beginning of October’ and announced a number of new ministers.
‘I cannot say that these continuous diplomatic processes are stopping us but certainly make us focus more on some other things. I expect the formation of a new government at the end of this month or the beginning of next month,’ Vučević told Pink TV.
Speaking about his position as mayor, which after the formation of the government will be replaced by the position of a minister or deputy prime minister, Vučević assessed that the people who will succeed him will be in an easier situation than him in 2012, when he became mayor.
He underlined that he will definitely be replaced as mayor by someone who is from the same political party and who will continue the ‘policy of continuity in the development of Novi Sad’. “It will be someone who has been close to me in previous years,” Vučević added.
