The Ministry of Mining and Energy has launched a new public call for subsidies aimed at improving energy efficiency, for which 250 million euros have been allocated, said Minister Zorana Mihajlović.
“We have allocated 250 million euros this year for subsidies for replacing doors and windows, i.e. external insulation, and boilers, as well as for the installation of solar panels,” she told K1 TV.
According to Mihajlović, the public call to which all local self-governments can apply will last for the next 15 days.” After the deadline expires, all local governments will then launch public calls for companies and citizens,” she explained.
Mihajlović also said that citizens have shown great interest in this type of subsidy and that the Ministry will provide more money for devastated municipalities and socially endangered citizens.
“Instead of 50%, the Ministry will provide 70% of the funds in less developed or devastated municipalities. We are also talking with social welfare centres and will find a way to help socially disadvantaged families participate in the project,” the Minister concluded.
