Mass vaccination in Serbia has begun

By Saturday, 16th January, 22,000 people were vaccinated against coronavirus in Serbia and vaccinations are carried out in 10 cities – says the State Undersecretary at the Ministry of Health, Mirsad Djerlek.

“Everything went smoothly and the interest in vaccination is higher than expected. So far, about 280,000 citizens interested in immunization have applied through the e-Uprava website,” Djerlek states.

During his guest appearance in the RTS morning show, he said that the goal is to open more than 300 vaccination points across Serbia in the coming days.

“There will be 3 to 10 vaccination teams at the established points, and the idea is to vaccinate 50 to 100 people in an hour, as well as to increase the number of 22,000 to 4 or 5 times in the coming days,” Djerlek said.
