Finance Minister Siniša Mali announced today that the Serbian government will support a measure to further help the 1,400 companies that focus their business on Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus.
At the conference “How Resilient is the Serbian Economy to Global Crises and Challenges,” held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Mali explained that the new measure will allow such companies to use the second guarantee fund to refinance their financial obligations stemming from the use of the first fund. “These are five-year-subsidized loans for five years, with a two-year grace period,” the Finance Minister added.
Sinisa Mali estimated that this measure, “no matter how small it may seem, could mean a lot to the companies most affected by the conflict in Ukraine.”
