Magna Seating opens new production facility in Odzaci on 18th May

The Canadian – Czech company, Magna Seating will officially open a new facility for production of car seat covers in the Vojvodinian town of Odzaci on 18th May.

Four years ago, Magna Seating opened its first production facility here and hired around 300 workers. Today, the company is continuing with its development, expanding its existing production facility in Odzaci, and hiring around 1,000 new workers.

To remind, the Odzaci Municipal Assembly decided last year to allocate, free of charge, land plots in public ownership in the Odzaci industrial zone to Magna Seating in order that the company to fulfill its business plans in connection with the expansion of the capacity of the existing plant.

Otherwise, the state of Serbia will support this project with EUR 2.25 million on the basis of a relevant contract which was signed, with the government’s consent, between the Ministry of Economy and this company. The same contract stipulates that Magna Seating will expand the existing production facility in Odzaci, and that this investment would amount to 6 million EUR.

Magna International Inc., of which Magna Seating is a subsidiary, is a global company and a leader in the development and manufacturing of high quality complete seating systems, mechanism and hardware solutions, specialty mechanism solutions, seat structures as well as foam & trim products for the global automotive industry.
