Macedonian company MGI coming to Vranje

On Tuesday, June 20, the director of Macedonia Garment Industry (MGI) from Skopje, Marcel Meles and the director of the Free Zone Vranje, Goran Zivkovic signed a Memorandum of Understanding –  the official website of the Town of Vranje says.

The Macedonian company, which has been operating since 2008 and is a specialized manufacturer of men’s trousers, is interested in a long-term lease of a part of Yumco production facilities spanning 4,000 square metres which are located in the Vranje Free Zone.

The estimated investment value is about EUR 1.3 million, and the plan is to employ about 500 workers in the next three years.

Following the signing, Deputy Mayor, Nenad Antic underlined that this southern Serbian town had a rich industrial tradition, qualified workers and that local self-government was ready to provide all logistical support to the investors.

The representatives of the company from Macedonia outlined that they chose Vranje for its workforce potential, extremely favourable position and responsible attitude towards investors, as well as for numerous business reliefs.
