Lidl needs 1,000 workers in Serbia

The German supermarket chain Lidl, which will open stores in several towns in Serbia this year, has announced that it will publish a job ad, hiring over 1,000 sales assistants in March.

“With Lidl supermarkets, Serbia will get the first modern discount store chain. Thorough preparations in all business segments are in progress, including hiring of new workers”, says Martina Petrovic, Head of Corporate Communications at ‎Lidl Serbia.

Petrovic adds that Lidl is currently looking for workers for its Logistics Centre in Nova Pazova, with the majority of candidates expected to come from this town.

“The biggest hiring cycle will be in March when we are going to publish an ad for sales assistants in several towns across the country where we are going to have our stores. We are planning on employing over 1,000 people”, Petrovic underlines.

So far, Lidl has employed over 400 people in Serbia, mostly in corporate positions, IT experts, marketing experts, procurers, and accountants.
