The French Oscar winner, Marion Cotillard will be the honorary guest of the 2017 Kustendorf Film Festival – the festival founder, art director and our celebrated film director Emir Kusturica has confirmed.
“Marion Cotillard, Andrei Konchalovsky and two Chinese film directors are coming. We are still working on our guest list”, Kusturica explained.
The 10th Kustendorf Film Festival will take place in Mećavnik on the Mokra Gora Mountain from 16th to 24th January, 2017. The festival, which Kusturica had envisaged as the place for young, unknown film directors and film students from all over the world, has played host to many big stars over the years including Jim Jarmusch, Johnny Depp, Zhang Yimou, Alexei Balabanov, Monica Bellucci, Nikita Mikhalkov, Andrei Konchalovsky, Jacques Audiard, Berenice Bejo, and Paolo Sorrentino.
Marion Cotillard is the famous French actress and currently the highest paid non-American actress in Hollywood. However, she is primarily known for her versatile acting range and having been very much in demand as an actress in the last 18 years.
She is the recipient of the Academy Award for her portrayal of Edith Piaf in “La Vie en Rose” and is usually drawn to the roles of complex women with tragic destiny.
