“As President Vucic announced, regular air traffic was established as soon as all necessary procedures were completed, following the official opening of the Morava civilian airport. The promise has been fulfilled and as of December 1, citizens of Kraljevo and surrounding cities will be able to travel quickly, comfortably and safely, at affordable prices, first to Vienna and then to Thessaloniki. There are also regular routes to other destinations”, says Predrag Terzic, Mayor of Kraljevo.
Morava is the former military airport, built in 1967. An initiative to change its status to a mixed traffic airport, i.e. military and civilian, was launched in 2001. The conversion began in 2008 and the airport was officially opened for civilian flights on June 28th this year.
