Jiangsu Nantong Sanjian Construction plans to expand to Serbia

The Jiangsu Nantong Sanjian Construction Group is considering expanding to Europe, and Serbia, as a business destination has attracted a lot of attention from many Chinese companies – the Group’s CEO, Huang Ju Hui said.

He added that, last year, his company already sent a couple of business delegations to Serbia in order to establish contacts with potential business partners, and said that the time has come for those contacts to materialize into mutually profitable projects. Group is among the 500 biggest companies in China and has branch offices in 34 countries. The company is engaged in construction, electronics, finances and real estate.

Serbian President, Tomislav Nikolic met with the business delegation from the Jiangsu Nantong Sanjian Construction Group today to assure them that Serbia “is a fertile ground for Chinese investments which is something that many Chinese companies have already witnessed”.

On the same day, Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovic met with the Chinese Ambassador to Serbia, Mr. Li Manchang and representatives of the Shandong High Speed Gorup to discuss the construction of two segments on the Corridor 11. 

„Construction of the Obranovac-Ub and Lajkovac-Ljig segments on the Corridor 11 are of strategic importance for the Serbian government and it is of utmost importance for us for the set deadlines to be respected“, the minister said. The Chinese Ambassador pointed out that Serbia had the biggest number of implemented projects under the 16+1 initiative, launched together by China and 16 countries in Central and Eastern Europe.
