Jason Derulo, Belgrade Fashion Week and Short Film Festival in Belgrade and Novi Sad

It’s Thursday and time for our report about the cultural and entertainment events coming up in the next few days.


Event: Belgrade Fashion Week

Place:  Belexpo Centre and several other locations

Time: from 26th October to 2nd November

The biggest and most popular fashion event in the Balkans – Belgrade Fashion Week (BFW) – was established in 1996. It is organized twice a year at the end of October and in March. Given that fashion is a global phenomenon, BFW focuses on both national and international fashion, featuring different designers and brands. BFW also advocates the continuous education of young talent, involving all stakeholders on the fashion scene. The BFW is not only a fashion event but also a cultural and educational phenomenon. This year, apart from a number of fashion shows, the visitors will be able to see film screenings, photo exhibitions, panel discussions and a series of events that will take place under the auspices of the Days of Korean Culture. Event: Jason Derulo in concert

Place:  Štark Arena

Time: 28th October

Jason Derulo is a multiplatinum powerhouse whose current hit “Swalla” has over 300 million views on YouTube. With 102 million-plus single equivalent sales worldwide both his introductory breakout “Watcha Say” and “Talk Dirty” [feat. 2 Chainz] reached quadruple-platinum status, while “Want To Want Me” and “Ridin’ Solo” went triple-platinum,and “Trumpets,” “Wiggle” [feat. Snoop Dogg], and “In My Head” earned double-platinum certifications. Platinum singles include “Marry Me,” “The Other Side,” and “It Girl,” while “Get Ugly” and “Don’t Wanna Go Home” went gold. Cumulative streams continue to soar, exceeding 6.3 billion and YouTube views surpass 4 billion. At radio, his music impacted a total audience of 20 billion-plus listeners with a staggering 3.5 million spins. Event: International Short Film Festival

Place:  Novi Sad Culture Centre (Kulturni Centar Novog Sada)

Time: from 25th to 28th October

The International Short Film Festival will be held for the 16th time in Novi Sad, from 25th to 28th October under the slogan „Short but Sweet!“.  Over 50 short films, mostly from the US, Western European countries, Iran, China and Russia, will be screened with many of them already featured at renowned world film festivals like Sundance, Cannes, Locarno or Berlin. This year, there will be more short films from Serbia that will be screened as a part of the Serbia / Region programme. The official opening of the Festival is on 25th October, at 7 pm.
