Japan’s Mayekawa to launch production in Smederevo

At the beginning of 2018, the Japanese manufacturer of refrigeration systems, appliances and compressors, Mayekwa purchased a land plot in the industrial zone in Smederevo, where it plans to build a production hall – reports the official website of the Town of Smederevo.

According to Zikica Andrejevic, director of Mayekawa Serbia, a company that was officially registered in January 2018 and is headquartered in Smederevo, the plant will be built in three stages. The Smederevo Mayor, Jasna Avramovic has recently met with representatives of the company to discuss the details.

“After completing the first phase, our plan is to employ 15-30 workers, next year 30-70, the year after that 70-100, and finally over 200 workers in total. Our goal is to slowly launch production, because we are manufacturing a complicated, high-tech product. We already have one supplier in the Smederevo Industrial Zone which is the Em Dip Pro Team Company that will produce pressure vessels for us. In addition, there is the cooperation with other company here, Klima, which gives the whole project an added value”, Andrejevic added.
