The Italian footwear producer, Verdi Fashion S.P.A. is building a production facility in Ub, Western Serbia, in close proximity to the future Belgrade-South Adriatic motorway.
As the company told eKapija, the Italians will invest around a million euros in the new facility. The factory should open this May, and it will have 200 employees.
The training of the first 40 production workers begins on 20th March and will last two months.
The local self-government undertook to provide infrastructure for the location of the footwear plant in the Stublenica-Ub industrial zone where the Italian company has bought 20 hectares of land.
The new production facility of the Italian company is the first investment in the new Stublenica-Ub industrial zone, which has a total of 110 hectares of land at disposal.
The Italian company Verdi Fashion S.P.A. is registered in Serbia as Verdi Fashion International. The company’s HQ in Serbia is in Koceljeva, but the company will move its seat to Ub in the spring.
