Another Italian company has opened its production facilities in Sabac. The Refrion Company will employ 45 people in the new facility by the year-end, and give them a salary of 55,000 dinars.
The company produces refrigeration and ventilation equipment and everything manufactured at their Sabac facility will be exported to the European Union.
David Tomasin, general manager of the newly opened company, announced the expansion of production by the end of the year, according to the city of Sabac’s official website.
“We have many years of experience operating in Sabac – we implemented the first project in 2007 and then the cooperation with the city authorities continued to mutual satisfaction. Our new production facility has an excellent location, suitable for import and export. We have 20 workers for now, but we expect to have between 40 and 45 workers in the new production facility by the year-end,” said Tomasin.

The Mayor of Sabac Nebojsa Zelenovic visited Refrion today and pointed out that healthy competition increased the value of labour in the town. He also added that the newly opened company has not received any kind of subsidy.
“Since the beginning of this year, 16 new companies have arrived in our city. The Refrion Company initially employed 20 workers and created good working conditions. I would also like to note that, although unemployment has been declining in Sabac, there is a shortage of available workforce. Right now, the company has people from Sremska Mitrovica travelling every day to work, “said Zelenovic.
