Italy’s Pasubio planning to open another factory in Sabac

The reconstruction of a part of the Misar-Orasac section in Sabac, which passes by the Pasubio factory, started in early August, and it is alleged that the Italian manufacturer of leather car seats plans to open another facility here – the official website of Sabac reports.

“It is important to us to have a good road, as we make leather seats for luxury cars and we need to make sure that the goods are not damaged during transportation. The opening of a new production facility, spanning 5,000 square meters, is planned as well. We will have it built in the same location and we will create a number of new jobs”, announced Luciano Corso, head of quality control at Pasubio.

Mayor of Sabac, Nebojsa Zelenovic said that it was important to help enterprises that invest a lot in the town and open new factories.

“Pasubio employs 200 people, and they also plan to expand the production. When we heard that the biggest producer of leather car seats in this area needed a better road, the City decided to reconstruct the section in question. We make investments where they are most needed, in order to boost economic activities in the area”, Zelenovic added.

Milan Vasic, the director of the PE Infrastruktura, said that, in addition to large investments in the Northwestern Business Zone, it was also important to invest in the Eastern one and added that the reconstruction of the said road was a good example of a needed investment. The value of the reconstruction is 4 million dinars, and it is funded by the City of Sabac through the PE Infrastruktura.

Pasubio opened its first facility in Sabac in June 2017.  They have employed 62 workers so far and the plans for 2018 include another 300 to 400 employees. Pasubio makes leather for luxury brands such as Jaguar, Porsche, Bentley and Ferrari.
