He said that the sales and purchase contract had been notarized and that the factory’s keys had been handed over to the new owner on Monday, November 27, 2017.

Dimitrijevic signed the contract with Todor Georgijev, the authorized representative of the purchaser, the company E.Miroglio Dimitrovgrad. Following the notarization of the contract, the purchaser gained possession of the company by signing a relevant record and being handed over the keys to the factory, Pirotske Vesti reports.

The textile factory was sold at the sixth attempt. Before the bankruptcy proceedings, it employed 1,300 people. The factory was owned by the English-Slovenian group AHA Mura, which went into bankruptcy in 2014.

E. Miroglio EAD has started its business operations in Bulgaria in the Nineties and today counts around 2,000 workers in its three factories of Sliven, Yambol e Svishtov.
