Italy’s Beretta wants to cooperate with Serbian weapon producers

The Italian weapons and ammunition company, Beretta has expressed a strong interest in cooperating with the Serbian defence industry and the Ministry of Defence, said Franco Beretta, the company’s owner.

He added that he had already visited companies Zastava Oruzje and Prvi Partizan with his associates to explore the possibility of cooperation.

Serbian Defence Minister, Aleksandar Vulin met with the company’s representatives in Belgrade yesterday.

“We are focused on stepping up the military / economic cooperation in the mutual interest, for which the Serbian defence industry has expressed a strong interest. I would especially like to underline the potential cooperation between Beretta and the Military-Technical Institute of the Defence Ministry and the Serbian defence industry”, Vulin said.
