Italy the official partner of the 2023 Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad

Italy will be the partner country of the 90th International Agricultural Fair, which will be held from May 20 to 26 at the Novi Sad Fair.

Director General of the Novi Sad Fair, Slobodan Cvetković, and the Director of the Italian Trade Agency ITA/ICE, Antonio Ventresca, signed a relevant agreement yesterday.

Close to twenty Italian companies from the business sectors like agriculture, banking and others will exhibit at the Fair. The Italian Ambassador to Serbia, Luca Gori, pointed out that companies from Italy traditionally participate in the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad and that cooperation with the Fair from Novi Sad has been constantly growing.

“There are several reasons for Italy being the official partner of the 90th International Agricultural Fair. In addition to having a number of Italian companies exhibiting at the Fair, the goal is also to boost Italy’s presence in the Balkans and Serbia, expand economic cooperation between our two countries in several very important segments such as infrastructure, green energy and agriculture, as well as investments by Italian companies in agriculture and food safety because there is an exceptional scope for cooperation with Serbia in that are too,” said the Ambassador.

“This year, the Fair will have about 1,100 exhibitors from 25 countries. Italian companies have been exhibiting at the Novi Sad Fair for a long time and the cooperation with businesses from Italy is very good. This is validated by the fact that Italy was already a partner country of the International Agricultural Fair a few years ago and it will play that role at this year’s jubilee Fair,” said the Fair’s Director General, Slobodan Cvetković.
