Italy-Serbia Business Forum on May 24 in Trieste: registration now open

The Italy-Serbia Business Forum will be held on May 24, 2024 at the Trieste Convention Centre, starting at 10:00 a.m. (registration of participants starts at 9:00 a.m.), with the focus on the topic of “Green Transition: new opportunities for bilateral cooperation.”

The greatest opportunities offered by the Serbian market are indeed related to green and energy transition, also looking at the contents and prospects of the Plan “Serbia 2027: Leap into the Future” and the upcoming Belgrade 2027 Specialized Exhibition dedicated to sports and music.

The initiative will include a plenary session, with speeches by representatives of the two governments, bodies and institutions supporting the internationalization of their respective economic systems, which will be followed by three panel discussions on:

1) Circular Economy: for sustainable industry and agriculture;

2) Technological innovation: green and energy transition;

3) Infrastructure: sustainability and innovation.

At the end of the Forum, there will be an opportunity to hold B2B meetings between the members of the two business delegations.

Working languages will be Italian and Serbian with simultaneous translation for the plenary session and sectoral tables, while B2B meetings will be held in English.

Italy is Serbia’s third largest trading partner and for over two decades, has been a major investor in the country by number of registered companies and value of invested capital. In 2023, the trade between the two countries amounted to 3.7 billion euros. The goal of the Business Forum is to continue along the path of boosting bilateral economic and trade relations and mutually beneficial collaborations with Belgrade, fostering an ever-deepening mutual understanding of both opportunities and players.
