Italian retail chain Eurospin coming to Serbia

The Italian food store chain Eurospin is entering the Serbian retail market in the next two years, the Retail Serbia portal has learned.

Representatives of the Italian chain are already looking for locations for the construction of their modern discount stores, and recently they had talks with the supplier that would provide equipment for Eurospin stores in Serbia.

In the past years, Eurospin has been actively working on expanding in Croatia, and recently, it also opened the first discount stores in Malta.

Eurospin is the biggest Italian discount chain. It was founded in 1993 and has over 1,200 stores. New stores will span 2,000 square metres each and have meat, delicatessen, fruit and vegetable sections. Eurospin is the only chain in Europe which sells food articles exclusively under its own brands.

In 2022, the company reported a turnover of EUR 9.3 billion. The branch office Eurospin Eko, which manages the stores in Slovenia and Croatia, will be in charge of the development in Serbia.
