The evening of Italian opera and fashion will be held at the main stage of the Kolarac Endowment on 13th February, at 8pm, in gratitude to donors from Italy who contributed to the purchase of a new concert piano.
In late 2016, the famous Italian fashion designer and a great fan of the opera, Renato Balestra came to Belgrade with his friends conductor Jacopo Sipari di Pescasseroli and soprano Silvana Froli. On the occasion, Balestra presented his new collection and Pescasseroli conducted the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra. The event attracted many donors which prompted the Italian Ministry of Justice to donate towards the purchase of the Steinway piano which was first used by Ivo Pogorelic at his recent concert in Belgrade.
As a result of this, the Fabrika fashion agency and the Kolarac Foundation decided to repeat a similar event, albeit with a new repertoire, as a sign of gratitude to the Italian musicians who performed free of charge and thus supported the purchase of the piano.
The Belgrade National Theatre Orchestra, tenor Aleandro Mariani, Jacopo Sipari di Pescasseroli and Silvana Froli will all perform at the event. The concert will feature the best of the Italian opera – from ’Tosca’, ’The Barber of Seville’ and ’Madama Butterfly’ to ’Turandot’ and ’Nabucco’.
Additionally, Renato Balestra will present his latest collection that premiered at the Rome Fashion Week on 26th January.
Tickets are available at the Kolararc Endowment at a price of 1,000, 1,200 and 1,500 dinars.
