The number of IT job candidates was 27 percent higher in November compared to the same month of the previous year, and the export of ICT services also grew to amount to 2.5 billion euros this year.
Salaries in the IT sector are also going up, according to data collated by the HelloWorld website, so the average salary in this industry in August was 1,600 euros. Employers expect that that amount will be significantly higher by the end of the year.
In the last few years, the list of the most sought-after occupations has changed and there has been an increase in interest in the positions of project and product managers, delivery managers and business developers.
According to the research, among the five most sought-after positions are a team leader with an average salary of 2,600 euros, followed by backend developer with an average salary of 2,200 euros, in third place is product/project manager with an average salary of 2,100.
In fourth place, with an average salary of 1,600 euros, is a full-stack developer, while in the fifth position is a front-end developer with an average salary of 1,400 euros, according to HelloWorld.rs.
The site also mentions that a software engineer based in Belgrade can earn as much as 8,500 euros a month.
Statistics also show that candidates in the IT sector are more active at the end of this year. Namely, in the first two quarters of 2022, the number of job applications decreased by 17 percent compared to last year, then at the beginning of the third quarter, the number of job advertisements on the website went up and so did the number of people applying for jobs.
