It’s Thursday and time for our report about the cultural and entertainment events coming up in the next few days.
Event: Performance by Erin’s Fiddle
Place: The Vlada Divljan Cultural Centre

For all you fans of everything and anything Irish, this is a week for you. Not only did the Belgrade Irish Fest start on 9th March (opened until 17th March), but tonight, you will be given the opportunity to enjoy in the energy of the traditional Irish dance. Irish dance troupe Erin’s Fiddle was founded in September 2006 and soon after that it became the biggest dancing troupe of this type in the region. Out of 9 groups, 5 are for adults and 4 for children. Erin’s Fiddle currently has more than 70 members. The troupe focuses on traditional and modern Irish dancing, both competitive and show dance. The troupe has also cooperated with dancers and schools from Slovenia, Russia, Austria and Ireland. Dancers from Erin’s Fiddle participated in many dance workshops with top dancers and teachers of Irish dance – Mary McElroy, Bernadette Flynn, Shane McAvinchey, Irish Dance Center Vienna, as well as dancers from the famous troupe The Lord of the Dance.
Event: Nipplepeople in concert
Place: Dom Omladine
Time: 15th March, 9 pm
A Croatian electro-pop group, Nipplepeople will perform in Belgrade tomorrow. Nipplepeople is a mysterious, masked music duo, who, although founded in 2008, gave only two interviews so far. Funnily enough, they did not speak during the interviews but replied to the questions with their music. They gained popularity throughout the former Yugoslavia with hit singles “Sutra”, “Balkan Express” and “Frka” and have performed at renowned festivals such as EXIT, Hartera, Terraneo, Summer Fest and others.
Event: 15th Spring Novi Sad Bazaar
Place: Riblja Pijaca
Time: 15th March, from 6 pm to midnight
On Friday, 15th March, from 6 pm to midnight, a total of 330 small food producers, artists and craftsmen will present their products and creations to the Bazaar’s visitors. There will also be an entertainment programme, prize games and charity auctions. The Novi Sad Spring Bazaar is organized by the Putevima Preduzetnistva Association and Business Café and it also has a humanitarian character with donations collected for various causes.
