Investors to get between 3,000 and 7,000 euro per new job they create in 2019

15 billion dinars of the Serbian budget for 2019 is planned for subsidies for new jobs. However, these subsidies will go primarily toward employment of workers in factories and part for the information and communication technology sector, but international trade services and hotel companies will not be entitled to them – writes the Politika daily.

The daily goes on to say that, in 2019, the investors will have 2.5 billion dinars more in subsidies than last year. This is also the highest amount granted to new job subsidies in the last 12 years when subsidies were introduced. The Ministry of Economy says that a different subsidy regulation will be drafted specifically for the food industry.

“The Decree determining the criteria for allocation of subsidies, adopted by the Serbian government at the end of last week, stipulates that, besides opening new jobs in production, incentives can be allocated to service centres and business operation support,”, the Politika reports.

Investors will receive from 3,000 to 7,000 EUR per each new created job, depending on the environment in which they invest, and the minimum amount of funds invested will range from 100,000 euro in underdeveloped environments of up to 500,000 euro in the developed ones.
