Industrial production in April grew by 2.9 percent

Serbia’s industrial production increased by 2.9% year-on-year in April, after expanding by an annual 5.8% in March, the country’s statistical office said.
Compared to March, seasonally adjusted data for April shows the same level of industrial production, with a 0.4% rise in manufacturing, the statistical office said in a data release.
Output was sharply higher for capital goods (20.8%) and intermediate goods with the exclusion of energy (16.1%). In the meantime, industrial production also expanded at a solid pace for non-durable consumer goods (11.2%) and durable consumer goods (6.5%). On the other hand, output continued to fall sharply for energy (-28.4%), largely due to the normalization of energy prices since their surge in the prior two years
