Industrial production grows by 4.4%

In October, industrial production in Serbia grew by 4.4% compared to the same month last year, and by 11.3% relative to the average from 2016 – the State Statistical Office announces.

In the period from January to October 2017, industrial production grew by 3.5% compared to the same period last year.

In October 2017, mining sector recorded a 7.9% growth compared to October 2016, processing industry had a 6.1% growth, while electricity, gas and steam supply sector had a 3.4% decline.

“This October, industrial production in Serbia was 4.4% higher than in the same month last year, and in comparison with the 2016 average, it grew by 11.3%”, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia said in its press release.

In October 2017, compared to the same month of the previous year, and observed by target groups,  the production of capital products (17.7%), intermediate products, except energy (6.7%), non-durable consumer goods (4.1%) and energy (0.3%) all recorded growth, while production of durable consumer goods had a 6.8% decline.
